The Belgian waffles with the strawberries & whipped cream are so good and fresh, definitely going back

I haven't gotten to eat inside yet but the food is the best.

Shays has good food, great value and the portions and service are terrific.

Try annie b's and Earl's next door get a real home cooked meal. Shays is not horrible but it's just another breakfast spot food is very bland they operate out of order theres no structure here. Again it's not horrible

Very Very DIRTY FLOORs and whole area is old, junky in therei see someone in back smokes in there often in building, im sure ownerthey have messed up my order to goalmost every timeand burnt toast!Not covid safe at all, hardly anyone wears a mask

You don't find many of these places anymore! I visited Shay's with my family during a weekend in Cleveland. We walked in and the owner greeted us as if he were welcoming us into his home. He and the staff were gracious, pleasant, and very accommodating. We visited on a Sunday and it was absolutely packed, but orders were served quickly, and guests were able to "eat and run" or sit longer and enjoy their company, so there was never a wait for a table. Because we were a large party, there were a variety of meals ordered and everyone seemed to enjoy their food. My husband, daughter, and I are vegan, however, and there weren't many options for us, so we just ordered sides (fries for me and our little one, and onion rings for hubby,) but they were tasty and we had no complaints. If you're looking for a no frills, but welcoming, neighborhood spot, you'll enjoy Shay's just as we did!

Shays Restaurant is a treasure of Cleveland. The food is great and the portions are better. It's amazing comfort food made just the way you like..The breakfast is my favorite but they also make great burgers! Along the wall you see authentic signs that have been around since they've opened which makes it more wonderful. The servers are friendly and the owner comes around to make sure everyone is enjoying their visit. Shay' s is definitely a favorite a mine and I will always be back!

Great hole in the wall place! A little run down but super clean. Went for breakfast and the food was delicious and the servings were generous, the food was cooked properly and arrived fast and hot. Our server was awesome, attentive but not pestering. Love it! Will be back.

I ordered an omelet with the works everything was very good

I work 10mins away from them and I order atleast 3 times a week for 2 people or more and till this day the orders never been wrong

Shay's is very unassuming from the outside. It just looks like a nieghborhood diner. Not tiny, but certainly not huge. When you enter, you'll be greeted by several staff (anyone who can see you will welcome you). There is hardly ever a long wait for a table (and might I add that the takeout business is BOOMING?!). If you've never been to Shay's, you are in for a beautiful surprise when you sit down and open the menu. So many choices! Breakfast, lunch, dinner, dessert, wings, and so much more. At the time, there were not many meals over ten dollars. I'm talking fish, chops, combos, you name it!

Cozy family style diner with Great food ! They serve breakfast and dinner and their prices are reasonable. If it’s your first time I would recommend the shay burger it was super juicy and cooked to perfection with a side of fries. ( I like to add beef bacon) Everything Tasted great and was served in a timely fashion!#blackownedbusinesses

The service was great! My food was nice and hot. I didn't care for the taste of the breakfast sausage patties. But overall great food.,grits were creamy ,eggs fluffy. Definitely will be returning.

Shays was awesome, I'm from Illinois my cousin took me to Shay's boy was I glad, it didnt look to well from outside, but when we stepped in the staff was above great! they seated us immediately and was very customer friendly, the food was extraordinary delicious, well seasoned and brought to us promptly..When I visit Cleveland I definitely want to go back to Shay's!

They are still personable and friendly. They make sure the tables are 6' apart. Service is quick and the food is great!
